The Power Of Community

Have you checked out our “Area Events” calendar? Updated each month by hand, our in-store chalkboard details our weekly runs and various in-store events – yoga sessions, self-defense workshops, and fitness classes we co-host with neighboring studios.

These partnerships have become an important part of Summit to Soul’s development over the past year. Since we opened in July 2016, the support and friendship from the women of Biker Barre, Pure Barre, Realignment Yoga, East Side Yoga, Kathy Pugh Running, and so many more of our neighbors has flowed through our doors. Whether it’s through teaching classes or donating a raffle item for a celebration, community support has been essential to our fist year.

The impact of our community doesn’t stop at our studio partners. Personally, I have met and am grateful for the countless women who have made Summit to Soul their go-to for a new pair of Beyond Yoga leggings or who sport our latest STS branded tank top. I’ve developed some incredible relationships along the way with women who started out as customers and are now running partners and friends. These are the intangible benefits to owning a shop that don’t show up on a tax return or P&L statement.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned since opening Summit to Soul, it’s this: you can’t do everything alone. Summit to Soul wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for the generosity and support of friends, neighbors and our customers. For our one year anniversary – it’s no different. We’ll be hosting events throughout the weekend of July 28-30, including a raffle with prizes from our brands and neighbors who have been supporting us since the beginning. In our one year celebration, we are incredibly grateful for a community who has made it all happen.
