Wednesday, March 1st: Book Club with Kathy Pugh
Book club is back in March! Join us for a 3 mile easy run around the Capitol and back, followed by a book discussion of Run the World led by Kathy Pugh of EZ8DC. Run the World goes through Becky’s year long exploration of the varied approaches of runners across the globe and she shares the secrets to success from the runners and coaches she met along the way.
Monday, March 6th: Pure Barre Pop-up
Pure Barre and Summit to Soul are partnering again for a Pure Barre pop-up class at STS on March 6th. Pure Barre’s tried and true method can shape every body and fit any schedule. Wednesday, March 8th: Happy Healthy Human Pop-up
Samantha Attard and her company Happy Healthy Human, a snack company focusing on intention, will be bringing some of their healthy and delicious snacks on March 8th, following our weekly run club at 6:30. Stop by to learn about the company and how their snack can be used to change your mood and attitude!
Saturday, March 18th: Summit to Soul Pop-up at Hot Yoga Capitol Hill
STS will be popping-up at Hot Yoga Capitol Hill on March 18th, so head on over for a yoga class and say hello!
Sunday, March 26th: Rural Dog Rescue Bunny Run Fundraiser
Join Howl To The Chief and STS for a 1 mile or 5k fun run/walk on March 26th. 100% of the proceeds go to benefit the “underdogs” of Rural Dog Rescue. Bring your dog and dress you and your pooch in your best bunny ears or spring costume! All dogs receive a treat bad after the race and refreshments and light snacks for the humans. Saturday, April 8th: Event with Rose’s Physical Therapy
On April 8th join us for a group run and strength/mobility clinic at Summit to Soul sponsored by Coeur Sports and Rose Phyiscal Therapy. We'll start at 9:00am for a group run of 4 or 6 miles (all levels/paces welcome) to be followed by a short clinic on the 10 strength and mobility moves all runners and triathletes should do (yes that means you!). Stay and shop - we'll have coffee from Slipstream to share and giveaways provided by Coeur Sports. Register here so we can estimate attendance (and the number of goodies!)
Every Saturday: DC Road Runner’s CHC 10k Training Program (Mar 18-May 21)
Are you interested in the Capitol Hill Classic 10k? DC Road Runners will be leading a spring training program out of Summit to Soul from March 18th through May 21st. The group will be coached by Capitol Hill’s own Kathy Pugh (also of EZ8DC) and is welcome to runners of all abilities. Group training runs will leave the store every Saturday at 9:00am. The program will also offer a running schedule for participants independent runs during the week. The training program is free to all current members of DC Road Runners and anyone else interested can learn more and join/sing-up here!
Every Wednesday: Find Your Happy Pace Run Club
Meet at Summit to Soul for our 6:30pm Run Club. Distances of two to four miles with strollers, leashes, and all paces strongly encouraged. We leave the store and head to the Capitol where we do a quick hill workout as a group, but done at your own pace.
